1.16.12 50,000 mile mark!

On January 16, 2010, Dad and I picked up my 2007 Subaru Outback with 28,418 miles on it.  Exactly 2 years later, I succeeded in putting exactly 50,000 miles on it.  That’s 25,000 miles a year, 10,000 miles more than the national estimate .  Guess all those weekend trips to Ann Arbor, DC, Baltimore, North Carolina, Ithaca, West Virginia, Kentucky, and CT really added up!  Despite all the fond memories of my many weekend road trips, I think my New Year’s resolution for 2012 will be to put far fewer miles  on the old gal, before she turns in to a grandma.   More flying, less driving, and a few more weekends in Ohio might lead to a healthier life for both my car and me.

1.1.12 New Years in Boston

Julie and I did a Polar Bear swim on New Years Day.  The penguin costumes were a surprise

led Take Off, Eh 5.7 with Jenny, then redpointed Return of Geoff Beene 10d.  Finished the day with a redpoint burn on Super Dario 11a, with one hang on the penultimate bolt :-/

Sunday: Funk Rock City

warmed up on Cruising Lane 10a, then TRed Goodstone 10d twice before sending it on lead first go.  Finished the day on Rite of Passage 5.9+
